Trials

Verse: Instead, be very glad—for these trials make you partners with Christ in his suffering, so that you will have the wonderful joy of seeing his glory when it is revealed to all the world. – 1 Peter 4:13

Prayer: Lord, reveal to me the purpose of suffering. Teach me how to live with my grief, my pain.

Action: Buy a gift for someone you know who is struggling with grief or pain.

  1. You said to buy a gift for someone who is suffering from grief or pain. Does it count if you are the one suffering grief and you buy one for yourself? Not meaning to be smart aleck but serious. I have lost a pet, I had her for 19 years. Its harder for me you see because I have no one here. I literally have no friends here at all. So losing her means I am more alone and isolated.

  2. This is very much applicable to my life. I have been out of work for almost 13 years, due to a work related injury. I oftentimes have grieved for the life I had.
I worked with children living with mental health issues and often they had been sexually traumatized. I miss hearing laughter from the children who get a chance at truly enjoyed being a happy child in the brief times they could just act like the children. Safety and love is what they deserved.
I am going to try and finish my degree in Mental health and Human Services. I believe that God, a pushy lady I met & your words have led me this way. I start college again in the fall. Please pray for God’s leadership in my life & my willingness to listen. I know that I get in His way.
Thank you for your time and effort on reaching out to all of us. I would ask you, what can I pray for you? Your family are in my prayers. My heart loves you and your family in a way that surprises me. It comes from God and is such a blessing to me. So I ask again, how may I pray for you?
    Sincerely,
