Loyalty

Know therefore that the Lord your God is God, the faithful God who maintains covenant loyalty with those who love him and keep his commandments.   Deuteronomy 7:9 NRSV

When my son Judah died, we received word via a vision that God was going to look after Christi and I.  It was a much needed promise in the midst of horrific pain.  Since that time there have been many instances where we have seen God’s love in action in our lives.

This morning, Christi and I were interviewed at the Christian Radio Station, KSBJ where we talked about Judah and the charity in his honor, Judah Brown Project.   The focus of Judah Brown Project is to make parents and children aware of how to be safe around water.  Our vision is to save lives, that no other little ones drown as Judah did.  The tragic reality is, outside of birth defects drowning is the number one cause of death amongst 1 to 4 year olds.  The amazing part of being interviewed by KSBJ is that they have selected us to be a Spotlight ministry, one of just a handful of ministries that they are highlighting on-air and at events!

This is a huge honor and will go a long way towards sharing the water safety message to many!  But here is the fact:  it wasn’t some massive marketing budget or leaning on a friend for a favor kind of thing, this was 100% God.  God set this up, it was God who made it happen.

As the Deuteronomy reading states, as I love God and do what I can to keep his commandments,  our faithful God looks after us.  Praise the Lord!

So, how is God working in your life?
